'Learn to Express' is an organization that works with children and their development; utilizing various art forms. Along with its regular activities like 'Digital Story Telling' and 'Creative Writing' workshops, we offer modules on educating children about Ethnicity of the world.

Teachers, Mums and Dads,

Learn to Express has been running for a few years in South West Wales and offers various activities in schools. Associated with 'Children's University' in Swansea for some of its activities, LTE offers hands on workshops for students as well as training days for teachers.

National Education Curriculum in Wales encourages learning about cultures of the world. To support the same, we have designed this module called Festival of Lights/India Day. During this workshop participants will learn about Diwali, also knows as Festival of Lights which is celebrated during the months of October and November. This workshop can be tailor made according to ages of children and available time in schools; but ideally, it is more rewarding when we cover one school day. (6 hours).

LTE organises and facilitates workshops for children, offering modules to learn various skills that will improve their expression. The workshops will surely have a positive impact on their personalities making them more confident.

Along with various activities full of fun and joy for children of all ages; training day for teachers focus on Cultural Diversity in UK and India:

• Importance of Diversity Training
• Diversity in Cultures in school settings and legal perspective
• Multi Culture Inclusion
• Power Point presentations on Diversity in Cultures from India and United Kingdom: statistical explanation.
• Mythological puppets and stories to tell at various learning stages

This initiative has proved to be successful in various schools in South West Wales (Swansea, Cardiff, Neath Port Talbot) and has received praise in recent Estyn Inspection Reports.
